About

Amy is a licensed professional counselor and who provides individual therapy, family therapy, parent coaching, and treatment consultation. Amy primarily works with adults, parents, and families and specializes in anxiety, depression, mood dysregulation, disordered eating, and personality disorders. She has a direct approach to treatment and integrates various therapeutic modalities to support clients in reaching their goals. Amy was raised in Atlanta and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Georgia. She then went on to earn her Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling at Georgia State University. While in school, she participated in research for emotional regulation and communication of emotions to parents. This sparked Amy’s interest in supporting couples, families, and parents in strengthening their skills in communication and building stronger relationships. She is involved with the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill and Family to Family. She is a member of local and national professional organizations, including LPCA-GA. Outside of work, Amy values spending time with her family and friends. She is an Atlanta food scene enthusiast and enjoys pilates in her free time (when she gets it!). She is an avid Georgia Bulldog fan and spends many fall weekends in Athens watching football.
